Throughout 2018-19 I completed the MA Creative Practice at TrinityLaban and Independent Dance. As part of my final project I, in collaboration with a group of dance artists, developed a collection of practices, and shared them publicly as Cascades.
The written document, Rendering capable through dissensus and disturbance: An investigation in group improvisation, that accompanies the physical work can be downloaded below:
It may be of interest for anyone looking at practice as research, touch, disturbance and dissensus, group movement improvisation, physical models, critiques of contact improvisation, autopoetic systems, ethics, pushing and pulling, and slugs.
If you’d like to know more about the research, or use the document for your own research please do be in touch via the contact page, and I’d be happy to have a chat!
